The next AHCA general meeting is this Wednesday, April 21, 2010, STARTING AT 7 PM (earlier start time). Meetings are at N. Ivy Street and N. 6th Street at the Clarendon Methodist Church Social Hall (enter on 6th Street, take stairs down and take the first hall on the right).
From 7:00 to 8:00 PM Arlington County Board member Mary Hynes and Traffic Calming Committee Chair (and Ashton Heights resident) Kevin Sweeney will present a new neighborhood traffic initiative called Neighborhood 25 which will involve the public schools, advisory commissions, community groups, law enforcement, civic associations and citizens in identifying low-cost strategies focused primarily on education to address neighborhood speeding problems.
At 8:00 we'll tackle AHCA announcements and than at 8:15 We'll have a presentation on some neighborhood history and talk about planning for events to commemorate next year's 90th anniversary of Ashton Heights.
