Arlington County Master Transportation Plan

As was recently raised on the Yahoo EMail group, the streets portion of the County's Master Transportation Plan (MTP) -- is starting to move through the review process, toward Board consideration later this fall. This will be the last in the series of Master Transportation Plan elements that spell out the county's policies on many issues -- stop signs, speed limits, sidewalk widths, sidewalk construction, traffic calming and all. It will lock in standards, dimensions and policies that will affect neighborhood safety, dictate street and sidewalk design, and preempt future discussion of alternatives.
