Arlington County Principal Of the Year: Sharon Monde of TJ Middle School
The Washington Post Company Educational Foundation announced today that Thomas Jefferson Middle School principal Mrs. Sharon Mondé is Principal of the Year for Arlington County.
Mrs. Mondé joins 18 other principals from the metro area in receiving The Washington Post 2009-2010 Distinguished Educational Leadership Award. The announcement can be found on the back page of the Sunday metro section. The article headline reads: “Principals of Excellence: Announcing the Winners of the Washington Post 2009-2010 Distinguished Educational Leadership Awards” The body reads: “ It takes a great many people to create an outstanding school – excellent teachers, terrific staff, bright students, and caring parents who take the time and trouble to participate in school affairs. Above all, It takes an extraordinary principal.
