County Board passes Snow Ordinance
Here's a link to the Sun Gazette story on the snow ordinance passed by the County Board this past weekend:
County residents will be required to shovel their sidewalks following snowstorms, under an ordinance passed June 12 by County Board members. County Board members on June 12 approved a sweeping, community-wide snow-removal ordinance, one they say has plenty of built-in versatility....
It goes into effect immediately, although county staff will have the next few months to develop implementation strategies before Mother Nature's winter wrath returns.
The new ordinance will apply to both residential and commercial property, and will require snow to be removed from sidewalks within 24 to 36 hours of a storm, depending on how much snow or ice has fallen....
